Guitar Raph is a music-interested member of the Drome community, and one the biggest contributor to the fanworks sections. He joined in February 2003. GuitarRaph has more than once been compared to Christian Weston Chandler.

Preferences, posting style and awards[]

GuitarRaph is a great admirer of music in all its forms, especially Jazz and rock. It was through him that many users have learned that a muscial instrument named tympani exists. He also likes daytime game shows and some reality shows (IE talent shows) on television for the mental challenge and entertainment they offer. Favorite sports to watch include PBA bowling, horse racing, NFL Football (Houston Texans) & Olympics. Another one of his hobbies includes playing the Texas Lottery.

A typical GuitarRaph-posting is in a different font, different font-size and in bold print. The reasons for this. he likes the font style printing of Franklin Gothic, a print style that was used on a classic PBS kids show, The Electric Company.. Font size is 5.

In 2012, GuitarRaph was honored with 5 Dromies (Most Loveable Member, Best Author, Member You Like to Meet & the Michelangelo Award for Most Humorous & is in the Technodrome Forum Hall of Fame).

Fanworks[]

Guitar Raph is an active member of the Fan Works forums, often writing fanfics and drawing fanart. Most of his stories are set in the TMNT Universe, yet revolve around his fan-character Josh Salazar. Usually, his fanfics are presented in a script form, offering little to nothing apart from dialogue. Said dialogue is usually for all ages, kid-friendly and shares the humor with popular shows aimed at children for joke references..

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles of his fantasy often act completely out of character (except Raph's the same tempered rebel & Mikey being the party turtle). Their traits include living among humans freely and being best friends with Josh Salazar as well as jazz musicians He has the Turtles playing different instruments then what they played on Coming Out of Their Shells (Don; Bass guitar/sousaphone, Leo; Vibes/organ, Mikey; Drums/tympani and Raph; guitar) and they sing as well. Despite this making little to no sense and GuitarRaph being oblivious to any critique, GuitarRaph continues to write and proudly post his fanfics. This paired up with his writing-talent that allegedly cures various illnesses that have plagued his readers have brought GuitarRaph a loyal fanbase, including members like Peanut, TheCure, TheCanadianDrome and Roland.

Josh Salazar[]

Josh Salazar is GuitarRaph's own character, modelled after a friend of his. Josh Salazar is a Latino jazz musician driving a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle. He's also a superhero, known as Ex-Cel Teen in his teenage years and nowadays, after a big 21st birthday bash, known as Ex-Cel Dude due to not being a teen anymore. Josh Salazar has little defining characteristics but seems to be one hell of a guy because he's the Turtles' best friend, but much closer to Mikey/Turtle Titan. Josh Salazar plays three instruments (guitar, vibes & tympani), sings, writes his own songs and does this successfully.

Fanart[]

Despite having the amazing artistic talent of a dead walrus, GuitarRaph keeps drawing his pictures. They generally show various characters, most prominently Josh Salazar and the TMNT playing music. They all share the same height and the same pose, having brought up suspcions of tracing. However, his charming interpretations of the Turtles looking like their Next Mutation-selves have only made his fanbase more loyal to him.

Nickelodeon TMNT crossover fanfics[]

Guitar Raph was the first one to realize the massive story potential resulting in the selling of the TMNT to Nickelodeon in October 2009. A mere day after the sale was announced and was being debated heavily on The Drome, Guitar Raph churned out his first fanfic featuring both the TMNT and characters of Nickelodeon fame. Secretly plotting a "Drake and Josh meet the TMNT"-fanfic where Turtle Titan gets to play the tympani with Drake - because canon established both as virtuosi on the instrument - the first fanfiction was the story everyone in the fandom has been waiting for; Brilliantly titled as "Nick-Ja Turtles", Donatello meets the characters featured on iCarly. The latter show is about Miranda Cosgrove of "Drake and Josh"-fame starring as Carly. The series can be summarized as follows:

Carly hosts her own home-grown web show, iCarly. She lives with her twenty-something brother/guardian Spencer and produces her Web casts from a makeshift third-floor loft studio. Grappling with adolescence, she never aimed to gain fame as a rising star/underground celebrity to kids. As events unfold in the pilot, it all happens by accident when a teacher puts her in charge of the school talent show. She and her sassy best bud Sam turn the audition process into a show, which Carly's tech savvy smitten friend Freddy tapes -- including their hilarious banter and great chemistry -- and posts on the Web without telling the girls. The on-line audience clamors for more, and a pop phenomenon blooms, with Carly and sidekick Sam's regular Web casts ultimately featuring everything from comedy sketches and talent contests to interviews, recipes, and problem-solving.

Clearly, this show begged to be crossed over with the TMNT due to the striking similarities in the show's basic premises.

In this fanfic, Carly and Sam meet Donatello - who is inexplicably working as a DJ at a bowling alley - at his place of work and go to feel his muscles. The story is presented in the well-liked and critically acclaimed dialog-driven narrative of Guitar Raph that has been known to cure diseases such as AIDS and cancer of at least seven different kinds in Europe. And as of writing this, the fanfic has already gotten rave reviews by Roland who reviews the story as follows:

The next chapter features Raphael on Dora The Explorer. And Swiper got some shell kicked from Raph! That's followed by Turtle Titan meets Drake & Josh while Casey (with a cameo by April) models on True Jackson VP while Leo plays the vibes recording with The Naked Brothers Band.

TFNT[]

, The latest parody is TFNT (Teenage Female Ninja Turtes). Simply, they are female clones of the foursome. Ronnie's the tough, rebel girl, Donna loves science, Leona's the leader whose marrried to Neptune (male turtle) and Mickey (Michelle) who likes to have fun & goes out as Wonder Titan. Their sensei's a mouse named Sprinter & they live in the sewers of Los Angeles. .

In a recent fanfic, Mikey made out with Michelle & now she's pregnant. This had Turtle Titan live with Michelle in the man cave of Ex-Cel Dude's home, Grayson Manor, in the outskirts of Santa Barbara, California.
